Reading Together

We have a toy that combines two fun activities...reading and music. Ian asked Natalie to sit in her lap to check it out (copying what Mom and Dad do). So Natalie backed up and squashed one of his legs to sit in his lap. They laughed, wiggled together and he even tried to help her push some of the buttons. They were really interacting with each other in a sweet way...which was my cue to butt out and get the camera!

Loving Books

The past few mornings, Natalie wakes up and goes straight to hang out with her books. No breakfast, no routine snuggling to wake up slowly....just give that girl her books. She loves the ones with texture and the more the better. She seems to be in her own little world and loving it. So I leave her to it and sneak around the corner to make breakfast for everyone, peeking in occasionally to check on her or snap a quick picture!

Home At Last

So the Thomas family survived the move! Everything went well and we are so thankful to be in our new space. The kids seem to like their new rooms, as do Mom and Dad. We're having a good time settling in, and little by little the boxes will go away. Ian and his Dad have big plans for the boxes - a cardboard city is being built in part of the basement. Here are some shots of the kids in front of the house today.

Sweets For The Sweet

We've been on an ice cream cone kick lately. Natalie was pretty aggressive about getting a taste of mine the other day. Hands out, shrieking, walking towards the cone and staring at it until she had a taste. So funny to see her when she knows what she wants.

Fun Night Out

The Thomas Family blog can have a posting without kids in it, right? We attended the fellowship dinner for Brad's vascular surgery program. He finishes this last stage of a very long training road at the end of June. I wanted to show the photo of us dressed up as proof that we actually remember how to go out for an evening that does NOT involve a kids menu or highchairs! We are all proud of Brad and the other guys he has had the privilage to train with.

Pictured L-R: Jeff Jim, Andres Fajardo, Jack Oak, BT, Mike Wilderman, and Chris Chambers.
